CENTER FOR MEDITERRANEAN ARCHITECTURE
The Center for Mediterranean Architecture (CMA) is a municipal company founded in 1996 by the Municipality of Chania. Since 2002 it has been housed in the Great Arsenal at the historical Venetian Harbor of Chania. The main mission of the CMA is to organize activities and events related to architecture. Emphasis is placed on promoting the Mediterranean features of architecture. The CMA aspires to instill respect for the natural and man-made environments. The latter should be valued as a product of culture.
The infrastructure of the CMA includes:
- Amplification systems with analog/digital recording capabilities
- Stage lighting
- Projectors and screens
- Video
- Wireless translation
- Spaces 6, 7, 8 may function as one exhibit room, whereas 7 and 8 are used for lectures, conferences, and similar activities.
